Damouchari is a tiny picturesque coastal village in Pelion Greece. The beach here is a mix of pebbles and sand and the water is crystal-clear surrounded by rocks which makes it a perfect beach for snorkeling.
Although tiny, the beach became quite famous when the movie “Mamma Mia” chose Damouchari to shoot a few scenes here for the film in 2007. Nonetheless, Damouchari beach is still not discovered by the masses and retains a natural and pure charm you cannot help but fall in love with.
On your right hand facing the sea, you can see a stairs climbing up the cliffs. This is a hiking trail leading you to another beautiful beach, called Fakistra beach. If you are traveling with a tent, you can find some camping spots in a small gorge next to the stairs. It is not organized but there were a few people camping there at the time of our visit. It’s not possible though to reach the spot with a campervan or car.
There are changing cabins and trash bins at the beach. For a coffee or refreshments, there’s a restaurant overlooking the beach. They also offer sunchairs in the shade of the olive trees next to the restaurant for a small fee.

There’s also a second little beach belonging to Damouchari, called the Damouchari harbor. Here you can rent sup boards and kayaks or just relax on the tiny patch of sand.
For lunch or diner you can find the best food in Damouchari and enjoy outstanding views of the harbor and the surroundings.
